Finance & Administration Officer: Action Aid‏

Position: Finance & Administration Officer
Place of Duty: Action Aid Area Office Abbottabad..
1. Monitor financial aspects of all Development Areas (self implemented and partners) reporting to the area office Abottabad.
2. Make analysis of budget and utilization in respect of the AreaOffice and DAs on monthly and quarterly basis and submit to theProgram Manager.
3. Ensure compliance with AAPk’s financial and audit procedure andensure that the financial policy is being followed at all levels.
4. Arrange for timely payments to all suppliers, consultants, vendorsand staff.
5. Arrange for timely payments to DAs and report the same.
6. Maintain books of accounts of regional office.
7. Financial and administrative appraisal of new DA partners.
8. Compliance towards the Income Tax Laws of Pakistan and EOBI.
9. Recommend payments after checking of required documentation.
10. Manage inventory and cash of regional office.
11. Ensure timely reporting of financial matters to head office.
12. Manage all logistic and administration support for program relatedactivities.
13. Manage attendance record of regional office and report to headoffice on monthly basis.
14. Conduct detail vouching on half yearly basis to ensure controlmechanisms and preparation for the internal and external audits.
15. Supervise proper management of vehicle through monitoring of logbook, fuel and maintenance expenses.
16. Manage and maintain an effective filing system at regional office.
17. Ensure maintenance of office facilities.
18. Coordinate with the auditors during external and internal audit.
Qualifications and Work Experience: The applicant will ideally be an MBA with majors in Finance/ Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of work experience preferably in the development sector. Experience of working in a computerized accounting environment is a must. Knowledgeand use of SUN system accounting software will be an added advantage. Applicants should have strong interpersonal, analytical and administrative skills with the ability of working in a multi-culturaland multi-ethnic environment. This job demands meeting deadlines, working within a team and providing support to the various units of the organization.
The position will be based in Abottabad with reporting to the respective Programme Manager.
