Job Title: 3rd Level Application Tech Support .
Job Location: San Francisco, CA.
Type: Contract.
Length: 6 Months.
Rate: Market(W2 only, no agencies or 3rd parties please).

Experience Level:
-4 year degree plus 5-7 years experience.
-Works on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develops and prepares computer solutions.
-Performs and leads modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
-Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs programs.
-Participates in the overall systems testing. Supports the implementation of the application into production.

Responsibilities:
-Design processes and scripts to capture monitoring events and alerts·
-Design monitoring GUI interface·
-Monitoring and developing of new monitoring tools and strategies·
-24X7 on call responsibilities, including weekends and Holidays for multiple business lines·
-Communication to management·
-Trouble ticket work (Remedy/Pac2000)·
-Assists in after hours work for deployments, installs and fixes·
-Maintenance/support of database and reporting server environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Unix (Solaris, HP) or Linux (Red Hat, SUSE, Fedora) experience.
-Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2005 DBA experience.
-Advanced SQL skill.
-Perl Scripting.
-CGI Scripting.
-Understanding of TCP sockets.
-Understanding of reporting solutions.
-Understanding of call center environments.

Preferred Skills:
-NetCool Experience (customized views).
-Web technologies.
-Reporting technologies.
-Monitoring methodologies.
-IVR background (Genesys/VoiceGenie, Periphonics, Intervoice).
-CTI background (Genesys).
-Remedy/PAC2000 background.
